উৎপাত +ইক =ঔৎপাতিক, উৎসর্গ+ইক= ঔৎসর্গিক, উত্তরপদ+ইক = ঔত্তরপাদিক, ওদন+ইক = ঔদনিক, উদর+ইক = ওদরিক, উদ্বাহ+ইক = ঔদ্বাহিক, উদ্ধার+ইক = ঔদ্ধারিক, উপকূল+ইক= ঔপকূলিক, উপাচার+ইক = ঔপাচারিক, উপদেশ+ইক = ঔপদেশিক, উপন্যাস+ইক = ঔপন্যাসিক, উপনিবেশ+ ইক = ঔপনিবেশিক, উপমা+ইক = ঔপমিক, উপায়+ইক= ঔপয়িক, উপসর্গ+ইক= ঔপসর্গিক। সে হিসেবে কূটনীতি + ইক = কৌটনীতিক হওয়ার কথা, কিন্তু অভিধানে এমন শব্দ আমি পাইনি। অভিধানে পায়, কূটনৈতিক। কূট শব্দের সঙ্গে নৈতিক যুক্ত হয়ে গঠিত হয়েছে কূটনৈতিক। অর্থাৎ কূট + নীতি+ ইক = কূট + নৈতিক = কূটনৈতিক। লিখুটন কূটনৈতিক, কূটনীতিক নয়।
সমসাময়িক না কি সামসময়িক
সমসময় (একই সময়) + ষ্ণিক (ইক) = সামসময়িক। এর অর্থ একই সময়ের বা সমকালীন। ব্যাকরণ অনুযায়ী সামসময়িক শুদ্ধ, তবে সমসাময়িক অধিক প্রচলিত। বাংলা একাডেমি আধুনিক বাংলা অভিধানেও সমসামিয়ক শব্দটাকে সামসময়িক শব্দের অশুদ্ধ প্রচলিত রূপ নির্দেশ করা হয়েছে। অতএব লিখুন, সামসময়িক।
‘প্রশাসন’শব্দের সঙ্গে ‘ইক’ প্রত্যয় যুক্ত করলে হয়, ‘প্রশাসন+ ইক = প্রাশাসনিক’। যেমন : সময় + ইক = সাময়িক, বর্ষ+ ইক = বার্ষিক, প্রত্যহ + ইক = প্রাত্যাহিক, নন্দন+ইক = নান্দনিক, সমষ্টি + ইক = সামষ্টিক ইত্যাদি। এ হিসেবে ‘প্রাশাসনিক’ শব্দটি শুদ্ধ।
‘শাসন’শব্দের সঙ্গে ইক প্রত্যয় যুক্ত করলে হয়, ‘শাসন + ইক =শাসনিক’। যেমন : মাস+ ইক = মাসিক, কাল + ইক = কালিক, আত্মন্ + ইক = আত্মিক, জাল+ ইক = জালিক ইত্যাদি। এভাবে শাসন শব্দের সঙ্গে ‘ইক’ প্রত্যয় যোগে প্রাপ্ত ‘শাসনিক’ শব্দের সঙ্গে ‘প্র’ উপসর্গ যোগ করলে হয় ‘প্র+ শাসনিক= প্রশাসনিক’।
অতএব ব্যাকরণগতভাবে ‘প্রশাসনিক’ এবং ‘প্রাশাসনিক’- দুটোই শুদ্ধ। ‘সমসাময়িক’ এবং ‘সামসময়িক’ শব্দদ্বয়ের ক্ষেত্রেও একই কথা প্রযোজ্য।
